For the last 25 years, internationally acclaimed documentary photographer and filmmaker Lauren Greenfield has studied society's growing obsession with wealth. Through riveting first-person interviews, Greenfield's journey starts in Los Angeles and spreads across America and beyond, as she documents how we export the values of materialism, celebrity culture, and social status to every corner of the globe.
Greenfield was recently awarded Photographer of the Year at the Paris Photography Prize, for her accompanying photobook of the same name. Village Bookshop & Gallery will be at the screening with signed copies of the book, as well as some of Greenfield's previous work.
After the film, a pre-recorded Q&A with Lauren Greenfield will be screened.
Screening as part of the Independent Directions Film Festival (INDIs) held between the 20-22nd July across Leeds. More details here.
