Seven Days in January

Oppositional filmmaker Juan Antonio Bardem’s political thriller is set during the transition period in Spain following the end of Franco's dictatorship, and chronicles the events that came to be known as the Massacre of Atocha. It is a key cultural work of the country’s transition to democracy.

Screened in conjunction with Scotland’s CinemaAttic group and supported by the Instituto Cervantes of Leeds.
Screening as part of Radical Film Network’s 1968 Festival, a programme of screenings and discussions in collaboration with Film Fringe, which celebrate and reflect on the radical uprisings and revolutionary fervour of the events of 1968.
