Film description

Unfortunately, in response to the Coronavirus outbreak, we've had to cancel this screening. All customers who've pre-booked will be emailed soon about arranging a refunds.

Nominated for a Best Foreign Language Oscar, Embrace of the Serpent centres on Karamakate, an Amazonian tribal shaman, who leads two western explorers through the jungle, on a forty-year search for the sacred Yakruna plant.

Filmed in stunning black, Embrace of the Serpent is a blisteringly poetic and psychedelic tale, exposing the ravages of colonialism on the South American landscape.
