Hiding in Plain Sight (Leeds City Centre Tour)
During the walking tour you will be guided around the city centre, where we’ll visit sites of our historic cinemas, learn about Leeds cinematic heritage, and discover the physical traces that can still be found, hiding in plain sight…
The tour is free and starts at the Leeds Train Station on City Square. It will take roughly 1 ½ - 2 hours (1.5 miles) and is at ground level throughout. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and please wear comfortable footwear and dress for outside weather.
To find out more about the Hiding in Plain Sight project, please visit our website here, where you can discover the other lost cinemas of Leeds, see images and upload your own cinema-going memories.
If you are unable to join us on the day or the tickets sell out, we also have our Hiding in Plain Sight City Centre Audio Tour, which is a self-guided tour, based on the live version.
Whilst this is a guided tour and any practical safety measures will be followed, neither the guide, Hyde Park Picture House, Leeds Heritage Theatres or their affiliates are responsible for the personal health & safety of the participants, or liable for any accidents or injury relating to the tour.
