UK, 1969, 112mins, Cert.PG

Film description

Don't miss this chance to see the 50th anniversary screening of this award winning, moving Yorkshire-set tale! Billy Caspar is a young working-class boy with a poor outlook on life. He is bullied at home by his older half-brother Jud, and he is picked on at school by his classmates and teachers. Billy had succumbed to petty crime, occasionally stealing food. One day, Billy steals a kestrel from a nest on a farm. As he spends more and more time caring for 'Kes', Billy's relationships and attitude begin to change.
