Film description

Rike, a keen naturalist and experienced yachtswoman, takes a break from her job as an ER doctor to pursue her dream of sailing to Ascension Islands, the Edenic paradise created under the guidance of Charles Darwin.

A few days into her solo odyssey traversing the Southern Atlantic, her boat, the Asa Grey, is engulfed by a violent storm. When the storm finally passes, she is awoken to the unfolding humanitarian crisis of a ramshackle boat overloaded with African migrants slowly sinking on the horizon. With the fate of the migrants becoming increasingly desperate and her SOS calls seemingly unheeded, Rike is faced with an awful moral dilemma.
