Film description

55-years after the last feature film about the Durham Miners' Gala, the latest film from filmmaker Daniel Draper explores one of the world's most significant annual public meetings.

After filming at the Gala for his previous Dennis Skinner documentary Nature of the Beast, director Daniel Draper was approached the Durham Miners' Association for this new project, and given unprecedented to document this historic meeting, as the DMA celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.

Following the film, director Daniel Draper, along with Richard Burgon MP who features in the film, will join us at the cinema for a live audience Q&A.

Please Note: This film contains a sequence of flashing lights which might affect customers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
