Film description

In Terry Gilliam’s fantasy adventure Time Bandits, we follow eleven-year-old history buff Kevin as he explores the holes in the fabric of time to find treasures from different historical eras, with a gang of time travelling dwarves on the run. 

As part of this special screening, before the film from 11am join us for a special interactive family-friendly activity, where you’ll get to discover and explore historic objects from the cinema’s very own time capsule. Delve into the cinema’s past, explore the building today and predict the future of film to help preserve the cinema for future generations to come.

Access info

The Picture House has two small steps at the main entrance. Step-free access to the auditorium and foyer is possible via a side entrance. Unfortunately none of the Picture House's toilets are accessible and both via a flight of stairs. The cinema has three wheelchair spaces – to reserve one of these, please select the 'wheelchair space' ticket during checkout.

The Picture House offers a range of hot and cold drinks, including beers and wines, alongside popcorn, sweets, ice creams (Northern Bloc) and vegan cakes (That Old Chestnut).
