The incredible life of Tove Jansson – who found worldwide success from an unexpected side project: the creation of the beloved world of the Moomins – is brought to life in this brilliantly moving new bio-pic.

Finland’s official entry this year's Oscars, Tove is a captivating drama about the creative energy of an iconic talent and her turbulent search for identity, desire and freedom.

Our screenings of Tove at 6pm on 28th July, and 8.30pm on 29th July, will be accompanied by an exclusive pre-recorded introduction and Q&A with Tove director Zaida Bergroth & lead actress who plays the titular Tove Janasson, Alma Pöysti.

Presented by Reclaim The Frame, a mission to bring ever-greater audiences to films by women to widen and enrich cinema’s perspective of the world, run by charity Birds’ Eye View, and backed by the BFI’s Audience Fund.
