Inspired by the energy and creativity of the legendary Scala Cinema (1978-1993), Scalarama is a nationwide festival designed to bring audiences together in a celebration of cinema. Whether you’re in a century old Picture Palace, the upstairs room of your favourite local pub, or watching with friends in your living room – a film experience shared is where it’s at.
This year's programme will be launched with a special screening at the Brudenell Social Club on Friday 23rd August (7.30pm) of the documentary Rudeboy: The Story of Trojan Records.
For all upcoming Scalarama screenings at the Hyde Park Picture House, see below. And for details of films showing at other venues across the city and nationally, visit the Scalarama website.
