Synopsis:

Following a successful tour across the north of England Pavilion present an afternoon of screenings to conclude The Problem of Perspective, a project conceived as a way of illuminating a distinctly northern perspective on the history of alternative and artists’ moving image in England. The afternoon will survey a rich array of production strategies deployed by video artists and filmmakers across the north from the ‘60s to the ’90s including artists like Kevin Atherton, Sutapa Biswas, Tony Hill, Stuart Marshall, Peter Samson, Janey Walklin, Leeds Animation Workshop and many more.
